IFMS Crowned URSB Sports Gala Champions

IFMS emerged victorious at the 2025 URSB Annual Sports Gala held on Saturday, July 26, at Kampala Parents School, outshining three other teams in an exciting day of soccer, athletics, and spirited team competitions.

The IFMS team put on a dominant display, winning two of its matches to secure the top spot ahead of IPAS, OBRS, and EGP. Their path to victory was sealed with a hard-fought 1-0 win against IPAS in the football final, courtesy of a late goal by Hudson Mukooyi.

IFMS earlier took command of the athletics track, earning big points. IPAS followed closely as the first runners-up, boosted by a strong performance by the team, while OBRS and EGP tied the note.

“The team was ready, mentally and physically,” said Victoria Okite, Captain of IFMS. “We studied our opponents well, especially IPAS, and stuck to our game plan.”

The road to the final saw IFMS knock out EGP 4-2 while IPAS drew 1-1 with OBRS before edging them out 6-5 in a tense penalty shootout.

The Registrar General, Ms. Mercy K. Kainobwisho, presided over the closing ceremony, praising the teams for their energy, teamwork before presenting the trophy to team IFMS.

This year’s edition featured four teams: IFMS, IPAS, OBRS, and EGP. With cheers, laughter, and a few surprise goals, the day delivered lasting memories and a renewed sense of team spirit across URSB.
