Prime Minister Rallies for Grassroots Access to Registration Services at URSB Showcase

Uganda’s Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja has hailed the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) for its ongoing commitment to transparency and ethical governance, urging for enhanced inclusivity and simplified access to registration services.

The Prime Minister made the remarks during her visit to the URSB stall last week, during the Africa Public Service Day commemoration at the Kololo Ceremonial Grounds, which brought together Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to celebrate public service.

Hon. Nabbanja lauded the Bureau’s fundamental role in formalizing businesses and protecting intellectual property, all of which contribute to a transparent and accountable public sector.

Highlighting the urgent need for decentralization, Nabbanja emphasized that registration services must reach every part of the country, especially rural and underserved communities. “No Ugandan must be left behind,” she said, reaffirming the government’s commitment to fair service delivery. “Awareness and accessibility at the grassroots will empower people economically and socially.”

The Prime Minister’s remarks echo URSB’s ongoing mission to bring services closer to the people by actively rolling out initiatives aimed at strengthening regional presence and increasing public awareness.

The team from the bureau, led by the Principal Communications Officer, Mr. Denis Nabende, welcomed Nabbanja’s endorsement, reaffirming their dedication to serving Ugandans with integrity, efficiency, and innovation.

As the country moves towards a more inclusive digital economy, the Bureau is positioned to play a fundamental role in ensuring that formal registration is achieved and maintained.
