Business clinic brings URSB services to Tororo residents

The Uganda Registration Services Bureau’s Mbale Regional Office conducted a successful business clinic in Tororo Town, hosted at ABSA Bank premises. The initiative brought essential registration services directly to local entrepreneurs and business owners.

During the one-day event, URSB officials provided on-the-spot registration for various business entities, including sole proprietorships and companies.

Legal document registration services were also available, eliminating the need for residents to travel to regional offices. “Our goal was to make these vital services accessible to the Tororo community,” said a
URSB representative. “Many small business owners don’t realise the benefits of formalisation until they learn about the protections and opportunities it provides.”

Participants received comprehensive information about the advantages of formalising their businesses, including legal protection, improved access to financing, and enhanced credibility with customers and suppliers.

The clinic also offered specialised legal advice on intellectual property rights, helping local entrepreneurs understand how to protect their innovations, brands, and creative works.

Community members expressed appreciation for the convenience of accessing these services locally, with many taking immediate advantage of the opportunity to formalise their businesses and register important documents.
