URSB Regional Head highlights business registration benefits on Mbarara local television

Nicholas Tumwebaze, Senior Registration Officer from the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) Mbarara Regional Office, made a guest appearance on Tayari West TV on 23rd April 2025, to educate listeners about the importance and process of business registration.

During the informative TV segment, Mr. Tumwebaze elaborated on the numerous benefits that come with formalising business operations through proper registration.

He emphasised how registered businesses gain better access to financial services, government contracts, and legal protection while contributing to Uganda’s formal economy.

“Business registration is not just a legal requirement—it’s a pathway to growth opportunities and credibility in the marketplace,” Mr. Tumwebaze explained to viewers during the broadcast.

The television appearance forms part of URSB’s ongoing public education campaign to increase awareness about registration services across Uganda’s western region.

Mr. Tumwebaze addressed common misconceptions about the registration process, detailing the simplified procedures now available to entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Viewers had the opportunity to call in with questions about registration requirements, fees, and the specific documentation needed. Local business owners were encouraged to visit the regional office for personalised assistance with formalising their enterprises.
