Successful and inspiring: URSB’s blood donation drive and wellness check

The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) launched its 2025 Insolvency Week with a life-saving
initiative, hosting a blood donation drive and wellness check at its headquarters on Tuesday, 8th April.

Organised by the Directorate of Insolvency in collaboration with the Uganda Blood Transfusion Service (UBTS), the event united URSB staff and members of the public in a shared mission to save lives and promote wellness.

“This initiative was about focusing on the individual behind the business. If you save a life, you are saving a business,” said Mr. Robert Mugabe, Director of Insolvency and Receivership. The wellness check also afforded staff the chance to monitor their health, reinforcing the message that both economic and personal well-being are important. The blood donation drive marked a compassionate start to Insolvency Week, which lasted from April 7th to 10th, culminating in the 8th Annual Insolvency Conference.
