URSB takes centre stage at Tilenga Project supplier workshop

The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) played a pivotal role at the Quarterly Supplier Engagement Workshop hosted by E360 Group Limited on 1st April 2025, at Anaka Town Council. The theme of the workshop was “A Road map to suppliers’ Readiness to take opportunities in the Oil and Gas sector and other supply chains.”

Mr. Patrick Okello, representing URSB’s Gulu Regional Office, delivered key insights on business formalisation to potential suppliers from six districts surrounding the Tilenga Project – Kikuube, Hoima, Masindi, Buliisa, Pakwach, and Nwoya.

During his presentation, Mr. Okello emphasised URSB’s commitment to supporting community suppliers in meeting crucial registration and licensing requirements necessary to participate in Uganda’s expanding oil sector.

“Our goal is ensuring local businesses understand the formalisation process to fully benefit from these opportunities,” Mr. Okello explained.

The workshop, which also featured participation from the Petroleum Authority of Uganda, Uganda Revenue Authority, and Uganda National Bureau of Standards, reflects URSB’s ongoing efforts to enhance economic inclusion by preparing regional businesses for participation in major national development projects.
