URSB champions creative industry growth at Dr Bbosa’s 40-year milestone celebration
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting Uganda’s creative industry, as it joined stakeholders, fans, and well-wishers to celebrate 40 years of legendary actor Dr Sam Bbosa’s contribution to the arts Industry.
Held at the Africana Hotel on 5th April 2025, the colourful event also marked the official launch of Dr Bbosa’s new book, a life memoir inspired by his journey in the arts and entertainment world: “Navigating Life’s Stages without a Script”.
Speaking at the event, the Manager Compliance and Enforcement, also Acting Director Copyright and Neighbouring Rights, Ms. Miriam Nabatanzi reaffirmed URSB’s support for the creative sector, recognising it as a vital pillar for national development, employment creation, and cultural preservation.
She noted the vital role that intellectual property registration plays in safeguarding creative works and emphasised its continued efforts in empowering artists to formalise and commercialise their talents.
“We are committed to supporting artists like you in formalising and commercialising your talents. Together, we will ensure that your book is registered in compliance with all legal requirements, empowering you to protect your passion and thrive,” Ms. Nabatanzi remarked.
Dr Bbosa, in his speech, shared his personal success formula famously called the “5 Ps”, outlined in his newly launched book. “My life is guided by a formula: Prayer, Persistence, Positivity, Patience, and Passion. This is what has kept me going for 40 years in the arts industry,” he said.
