Seeta High School students gain hands-on experience during educational tour

A group of students from Seeta High School (A campus), led by their teachers, visited the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) to learn about the Bureau’s vital roles and how it has contributed to the development of the country.

The visit, organised by the school in collaboration with the Public Relations team at URSB as part of a broader curriculum on civic education, aimed to give students a deeper understanding of how the Bureau contributes to societal structure and governance. It also provided them with a first-hand look at how URSB manages vital records for Business, companies and legal documents.

Upon arrival, the students were ushered into the auditorium where entertainment was the first item on the agenda. Four students were selected to dance and win prizes. Each of them won t-shirts and caps.

Thereafter, Mr. Steven Douglas Baryevuga, Senior Communications and Media Relations Officer, presented URSB’s mandate and explained the process of registering a business as well as the benefits of formalising businesses.

The session concluded with an interactive session, where students voiced their thoughts on what they had learnt.

Seeta High School’s Mr. Sserunjoji praised the initiative and appreciated the URSB public relations team for hosting them. He noted that exposing students to such practical experiences enriches their learning and helps them become more engaged citizens.

Mr. Dennis Nabende, Senior Public Relations and Corporate Affairs Officer, told the students to not be timid and thanked them for being well behaved and active.
