On Friday 15th November, 2024, Uganda Registration Services Bureau held the 2024 edition of the Annual General Meeting. Attended by all staff, the gathering discussed URSB priorities for the FY 2024/2025 and projections into the future, reviewed minutes of the last meeting, had a general discussion session.

The Uganda Registration Services Bureau over the last few years has created sustainable growth plans for services delivery through strategic planning that allows the entity to transition easily to an excellent one, according to Registrar General, Ms. Mercy K. Kainobwisho.

Delivering her remarks during the 2024 edition of the annual general meeting held at the Uganda Business Facilitation Centre last Friday, she said URSB was on the right path to becoming a simpler, more efficient, more focused organization.

‘I want to say a special thanks to all of you, who continue to work incredibly hard for URSB. I believe we have what it takes to be one of the best agencies in Uganda’ She said.

The Registrar General emphasized the importance of staff performance and alignment with URSB goals. She highlighted the bureau’s achievements in many areas, a feat she said had saved the entity from rationalization, adding that strategic focus had seen improved service delivery and operational efficiency. She urged staff to continue enhancing their performance to maintain URSB’s reputation as a leading government agency.

She encouraged staff to prioritize innovation and team work to ensure URSB meets its strategic objectives, including improving public access to registration services and supporting the Bureau’s formalization agenda. The URSB board of directors and management have set their sight on enhancing efforts aimed at streamlining operations, supporting staff to excel, prioritizing growth plans and further modernising services through aspects like digitization, automation and use of ICT.
