Carry out a search to ascertain whether the trademark you intend to register is available upon payment of a prescribed search fee.
Fill in a trademark application form (TM 2) in duplicate.
Obtain payment registration slips for the application from any URSB assessment point. (4th & 6th Floor).
Hand in filled and signed application form accompanied with 3 extra copies of the mark or logo representation with original payment slips attached to the IP Front desk on Floor 5. (Foreign applications must have a power of attorney).
Gazette Notice will be issued.
Take Gazette Notice to be advertised in the Official Government Gazette for 60 days.
If there is no opposition after the expiration of 60 days of the advertisement bring a copy of the gazette publication, fill in TM 9 and pay the requisite fee for a trademark certificate.
Certificate of registration issued.
