URSB and Nation Media Group(U) agree to Strengthen Working Relationship.


2nd March 2020, Kampala; The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) and the Nation Media Group-Uganda (NMG) have today agreed to strengthen their working relationship and implement joint activities that support both organisations. The commitment was made during a courtesy visit to Nation Media Group offices in Namuwongo by the Registrar General Ms. Mercy K. Kainobwisho.

In her remarks, Mercy K Kainobwisho, noted that URSB has a longstanding relationship with NMG (U) and the visit was clear manifestation of how valuable the partnership between the two entities is. “URSB and Nation Media Group-Uganda have worked and continue to work on different campaigns together to in order for the good of the country. We are thankful for all the media support  NMG has rendered under this initiative”, she said.

Kainobwisho added that there are areas of mutual interest to build on the already existing collaborations “URSB is mandated to handle issues pertaining to Business and Civil registration, SIMPO registry, Intellectual Property and Insolvency which citizens across the country can benefit  from through media channels like Daily Monitor. We will continue aiding in creating awareness on what both entities do and we look forward to a stronger working relationship” 

On his part, Tony Glencross, the Managing Director Nation Media Group-Uganda, commended URSB for being supportive commercially adding that it was vital to work together in the delivery of services to the public “Thank you for reaching out to us and using our platforms to increase awareness of your services to the public. We do believe your campaigns; even amidst COVID-19 have been influential for public good. We pledge to continually be supportive.”

The Registrar General was accompanied by the Board Secretary, the Head Legal and Advisory Services, and the PR & Corporate Affairs team. In attendance from Nation Media were the Commercial Manager-Radios & Agencies, and the Head Sales-NTV
